In this episode, Dr. Ed Lowe and Nelson Rego, CDT test curing light output and light intensity using MARC (Managing Accurate Resin Curing.) The tests are done on a 4mm deep (Class I) restoration simulator with Dentsply's SmartLite, Kerr's Demi Ultra and Ivoclar Vivadent's Bluephase Style.

For the curing light, the wavelength emission and light intensity are key to a successful Class I or Class II restorations. Dr. Gordon Christensen argues that curing light/resin-curing is probably the most important factor relative to premature failure.
