They are an experienced duo: dentist Stéfan Koubi and dental technician Gérald Ubassy from France. Learn from the two how the integration of nature can open up completely new possibilities in the esthetic design of dental restorations.
The challenge: severely stained teeth
In a new issue of Special Edition, the two professionals present a patient case with severe tooth discolourations. Using IPS e.max Press (lithium disilicate) and IPS e.max Ceram, they create a beautiful new smile for a patient with conspicuously discoloured teeth in the upper and lower jaw. They show clearly and convincingly how discolourations can be made part of the restoration rather than concealing them, as normally is the case. An extremely successful piece of teamwork!
A welcome ally
"Our guiding principle is to no longer combat discolourations, but rather to take a playful approach and use them as a welcome ally in order to achieve an overall result with a natural esthetic appearance," Koubi and Ubassy explain their philosophy.
